You can also use biometric (both face and fingerprint) logins to access your account (and reset your master password if you forget it) on Android and iOS devices. Hackers who breach a website's security often exchange their ill-gotten login credentials on the dark web. Even if nobody has used the stolen credentials, you'd still want to know about the theft and change the account password. You can force the app to lock on exit (every time you close the screen) by going to Settings > Security and moving the Lock on exit toggle to the on position.

The autofill function is where a password manager really shines. All you have to do is navigate to the relevant login page and you should see the Dashlane symbols in the username and password fields. Click on one of those and select your login info for that site.

The only major downsides to Bitwarden are a somewhat limited desktop app and the fact that the mobile apps can't auto-fill credit-card numbers or other non-login information.

NordPass comes from the security-conscious folks at NordVPN and offers all the password-manager basics, even on its free tier. It's also got a simple, consistent design that's easy to navigate and use and biometric login support for desktop apps.

The Enpass desktop interface is a bit spare, but functional; the mobile apps are sleek. All handle biometric logins to some extent. Overall, Enpass belongs on our best password managers list, but it's not our top pick. There's also a business version available as well.
