We use fast fingerprints to identify people who are at the crime scene. Fingerprints are mostly made up of sweat and oil from the skin. We use them to identify suspects and find out if they were at the crime scene. Fingerprints can be found on surfaces that people touch, such as a door handle or a window sill. The prints may be smudged, but they will still have enough detail for identification.
