Certifications are listed according to the job titles and salaries of the people who hold them, following a range that is based on the median salary of the largest chunk of surveys (e.g., 50% of responses) that have the certification. You can see the entire set of U.S. certifications on our certification list page . To view the list of certifications by U.S. location, see the certification list by U.S. location page .
Among all survey respondents, 93% of IT respondents and 91% of all respondents said that employers are looking for the certifications that they have. This demand is stronger for cybersecurity-related certifications than other types of certifications. When asked whether they had taken any cybersecurity-related certifications, 55% of IT respondents said yes. By contrast, only 27% of all respondents had taken any cybersecurity-related certifications. Because IT respondents are a subset of all respondents, this shows that IT-related certifications are highly sought by employers. On average, the respondents that take cybersecurity-related certifications are more likely to work in roles with IT job titles, a result that is consistent across most certifications. This means that certifications that are most in demand are the ones that are most in demand by employers.
