Despite the instrument's age and its history of further renovations, we did not change, or tamper with, the natural and unmodified materials; and, we used instruments that had been used for generations in concert halls and small concert practice rooms. During the recording process, the piano was never moved nor turned off, which results in a natural tone, a clear and authentic sound.

The recording process, on the other hand, is not so simple.The previous owner (and well-known pianist) of the piano had recorded it with a group of world-class technicians. The pianist's equipment set consisted of three microphones that were chosen in order to target different frequencies:Highest frequency: the three Neumann U47 microphones.Mid frequency: the three Neumann U48 microphones.Bass range: the two Neumann U87 microphones.
